Deacon Rex H. Pilger, ordained in 1988, and his wife Rita have been married 35 years. They have five grown children and three preschool grandchildren. Deacon Pilger is aspirancy coordinator, St. Francis School of Deacons, Archdiocese of Denver. He received his Ph.D. in Geological Sciences from the University of Southern California.
