Dr. Jay Boyd earned her doctorate in psychology at the University of California, Santa Barbara, in 1989. She was received into the Catholic Church in 2002. Her blog, "Philothea on Phire", features many posts on the liturgy, NFP, and other topics. Paul A. Byrne, MD, is a board certified neonatologist and pediatrician, and is a clinical professor of pediatrics at the University of Toledo Medical College. He has served as a past president of the Catholic Medical Association, and is the president of the Life Guardian Foundation. He has authored numerous articles against euthanasia, abortion, and so-called "brain death" in medical journals, law literature, and the lay press.
